Baseball, track, and every other sport...

We've been having such glorious weather lately!
Which means lots of fun at baseball games, and even the kids' school track meet. Madsen participated in just about every event this year and LOVED it.

Here are a few videos of all the fun! Madsen had a double and then a couple in the park home runs! Crazy kid! Then I got a couple of his races on video - red shirt, blue shorts, I think he was 3rd and 1st place in these ones. He loves competing!

Then he got REALLY lucky and got to spend a weekend with Dad at BYU!!! They attended a Fathers & Sons All Sports Camp and had a total BLAST. Every picture Travis sent to me had this boy grinning from ear to ear! ;)

They went behind the scenes in every locker room, and played in every sports facility. Then on Sunday they got bussed up to Salt Lake, where they heard Music and Spoken Word in the old tabernacle, had a Sunday service, then lunch at Brigham Young's gorgeous country home. They just LOVED every minute!

After all this, I'm not sure if Madsen loves sports or not, what do you think? ;)

Mother's Day 2017

A favorite breakfast, with my favorite little people. Mother's Day was a great day.

"The work of a mother is hard, too often unheralded work. Please know that it is worth it then, now, and forever." Jeffrey R. Holland

This job of mine IS hard, but there's nothing else I'd rather be doing. These four mean infinitely more to me than any other profession I've given up, and the title of "Mom"is more meaningful and fulfilling than any other I could earn.

I mean, look what I get to do every day...
bake cookies,

find bugs,

take (occasional) naps,

twirl umbrellas during rainy baseball practices,

watch them learn to "help" Daddy,

see them wear the things I wore (already??),

share my favorite things with them (flowers!),

and watch them figure out the world. :)

Motherhood is a pretty sweet gig. Good thing it's "once a mother, always a mother", because these kids are stuck with me forever. :)

Spring Happenings

So much happened while we sneezed away with our spring allergies...
Baseball! Madsen did fantastic, with quite a few home runs, pitching, and great fielding.

This kid is really growing up fast.
Much too fast.

Violin! Another concert for Miss Celia. I love that I never have to nag her to practice. She does it on her own, she loves it so much.

Flowers! On the trees outside my orchestra rehearsal,

...and the flowers in our yard.

Cousins! All 3 years old too!

More baseball! This is how we entertain ourselves.

Stripes, plaid, and argyle. Bowen is one of a kind.

And I sure love spending my days with him.

We went Downton,

to the library,

ANOTHER library, (usually multiple ones every week! Ha!)

Cora and Bowen were "matching" in their pj style one night.
See that hand-holding? Unprompted.
Maybe they really do love each other. :)

More baseball!

And a sweet big brother that lets little brother wear his uniforms.

Recitals!
Cora's ballet class was part of The Secret Garden this year.
They were pretty much adorable.

Cora is far left!

Before we've even left rehearsal, she whips out a book.
Wonder where she gets it. ;)

And the big recital day!
Grandma AND Great-grandma Enid came. We are so lucky to have them so close by!

Such a busy spring, but it's not over yet...
